Make Dalian International and Artistic Again
BRIEF

An international art Campaign where people with all nationalities come to Dalian LuXun Academy of Fine Art to create a project that best expresses the diverse International culture and the hospitality characteristic of Dalian. There is no subject or style limitation to this project, and the product of the design should be a collaboration of all the artists’ work.

PROCESS

The project will attract young artistic people around the world to come and gather in Dalian. The energy from these young people will bring back some of the lost energy of the city. The product of this project will be displayed around the city: on the transportation, at different attractions, and on social medias.

DALIAN INTRODUCTION

A Modern Port City

-international center for North China

  • Dalian is built up with a diverse cultural background. The entire city is filled with architectures in different styles.

  • A relatively popular city for traveling, famous for its beaches, which attracts a lot of visitors including foreigners.

  • The city pays big attention on education and has many prestigious universities and international schools.

Problems that Dalian is facing

  • Very high living expense but low salary that scare local people away

  • City does not have any visual identity in adverting itself

  • Minimum exposure to the rest of the country nor world

RESULT

The presentation of this project will attract more people who are interested and appreciate these artists’ creations. Those people will lead another large population of people who enjoy being around the art and sharing photos on social medias. The power of social media will make Dalian a popular city around world for its international and artistic aspect.
